Devlog #5

First up, Itch.io is now hiding games tagged "adult" in their search results. The games are still available if you have a direct link, and you can still find those links with a Google search. If they do take down adult content altogether (on here, Patreon, or anywhere else) I'll make sure there's somewhere you can still find me, like the roach I am.

As for the game itself the new 'hub' locations I mentioned in devlog 3 are coming along well but I haven't added any of the new NPCs or special events for those locations yet. If all goes well there'll be a new version ready for testing at the start of August!

I also have some plans to change the way NPC interactions work. At the moment each NPC simply has an "affection meter" that goes up (or down) with each interaction. To give the game more replayability it'd be better for that to be more complicated so I've been working on a new relationship management system. There's a sweet spot between "too simple" and "impossible to use" so I want to have it in the game for testing and feedback as soon as I can. It probably won't make the cut for the next version but I'll need to start making space for it now.

Somewhat related is a minigame for NPC sex scenes. Instead of just clicking a "start scene" button and seeing some pictures the plan is for the scenes to be completely interactive. I'm pretty happy with how that's going so expect to see it in the next version as well! I'd like to give you all some details but given the adult content bans of the last few years I try to be very careful about the words I use in these dev logs so I'm afraid you'll have to wait and see how it turns out...

No new art this week. I've completed quite a few drawings for the new locations but a picture of a hallway or a laundry room wouldn't be very exciting.
