Dev Log # 25
Not much to report. I slept badly all week so I didn't want to risk making big changes while my brain is fried. The low level tweaks I made last week seem to be working well so I added on to those a little bit.
The biggest change I made was adjusting how damage works. Instead of simply being hurt and losing health there's now a chance you will not be harmed. Choosing to be lucky or unlucky will affect how likely you are to be harmed by damage. Since this is the UI overhaul I also tried some effects out to make it more obvious when you are being hurt.
I also cleaned up exploration logic so that events are better organised in the code. There always seems to be tweaks needed that aren't visible to players but theses changes will make my job easier for when I start adding more events.
As for events I added a new one with Girlzilla in the morning. It's rougher than usual because I was testing the adjustments to damage but it should still be fun! One more update before the next test build so I'll have to decide if I want to spend time cleaning up that event or writing another one. There's still no night time event and it would be nice to have those all four time period events finished, even if they're just draft versions.
