Dev Log #8

I made a massive amount of progress on NPCs this week, the new socialising/chat minigame is almost complete! My brain is pretty fried after tackling it so this will be a pretty short dev log. The socialising minigame is the last major hurdle before I consider NPCs complete though so the release version of 0.3 isn't far off!

The final test will be adding a tiny version of Emily the streamer for you to meet and recruit. If that goes well the entire framework for adding new locations and characters will be stable enough that I can really start filling out the dorm. Version 0.4 is going to be all about overhauling the UI and as much as I want that done it'll be pretty boring work. The ability to easily add new content as I go will be just what I need to stay motivated, even if it slows down the 0.4 release a bit.

The bad news with version 0.3 is that, once again, existing saves won't work so you'll need to start a new game. Sorry about that, I'm doing everything I can to prevent breaking saves and I'm hopeful this is the last time.
