Dev Log # 45

More testing this week but I ended up getting so bored that I started work on replacing incomplete or out of date events. Getting those working meant I had to update Titania and Girlzilla's logic a bit to fit several new systems so no doubt I've introduced new bugs! More testing, more testing, but it all seems to be going well.

One thing I've been forgetting a lot is the music system, which should update the soundtrack during events. Those moments are hard to spot when I've missed them and mean I have to read through each event line by line to find when the mood shifts. They also often need an extra check at the end to make sure the music stopped.

Still, I'm making good progress! The clean up shouldn't take too long and the bugs tend to be quite small now so I'll probably focus on completing events that have the dreaded "WIP!" note. If things go really well I'll even be able to add some new events and if that happens I'll start with Titania since she hasn't had much new content in a while, and I have some ideas that I want to explore with her.

I gave it a try recently and it appears that there's absolutely no experience balancing going on. I am so confused why you're adding new systems when you haven't even established a consistent game loop. If all you want to do is add events then take the survival mechanics out. If you want the survival mechanics to add a sense of pressure then balance it. Clearly you're playing with debug options on and setting stats during your testing.
I go gathering and then my hands are full and there's no way to empty them meanwhile I'm starving. And I keep getting events that either add mouths to feed or present puzzles, that don't yet have solutions. Or at least the solutions require building a small civilization first.
